GREEK ISLANDS YACHT CHARTERS
Promising Venetian palaces, ancient temples and turquoise seas, a Greek Islands yacht charter through the Ionian archipelago is a decadent journey of discovery.
DAY 1: CORFU
Join your Greek Islands yacht charter in Corfu, a stunning UNESCO listed city with resplendent Venetian palaces, mighty fortresses, and Parisian arcades. After you’ve explored the treasures of Corfu Old Town, the yacht will move the yacht along the spectacular coastline to Palaiokastritsa, a charming village surrounded by a quiet paradise of turquoise bays and olive groves.
DAY 2: CORFU TO PAXOS
On day two of your Ionian luxury yacht vacation, the yacht will move to Antipaxos, best known for its blinding white sand beaches and glimmering turquoise sea. After a leisurely morning of swimming and snorkelling the yacht will cross to Paxos, where you’ll explore the glowing sea caves before heading to the picturesque port town of Gaios for the evening.
DAY 3: PAXOS TO LEFKADA
Lefkada boasts some of the Mediterranean’s most dramatic beaches, with vast limestone cliffs falling away to vast sweeps of beach, hidden grottoes, and blue-green sea. One of the world’s finest windsurfing locations, Lefkada also offers cliff and mountain hiking trails, hidden waterfalls, and a pretty archipelago of tiny islands just offshore.
DAY 4: LEFKADA TO ITHACA
Ithaca is a place of mythical beauty, and its sunny olive groves and lovely beaches are thought to be the birthplace of Homer’s hero, Odysseus. This an island for walking and dreaming and lazing about at anchor, before heading to the capital of Vathy for a memorable evening meal in a waterfront taverna.
DAY 5: ITHACA TO KEFALONIA
Rugged Kefalonia is the next breathtaking stop on your Greece yacht charter. The yacht’s captain will take you to Melissani Cave, a vast flooded cave where light pours through the cave roof, turning the water a radiant, blinding blue. Lunch might be in the colourful port town of Fiskardo or at anchor off Myrtos Beach, before a late afternoon trip to the ruins of the medieval capital, Agios Georgios, and an evening concert among the stalactites in the immense Drogarati Cave.
DAY 6: KEFALONIA TO ZAKYNTHOS
Zakynthos is a highlight of any Greek Islands yacht charter. Its famous Shipwreck Beach is one of the most photographed beaches on earth, with a vast smuggler’s ship stranded on the sands under a ring of immense cliffs. Nearby, the coast is riddled with blue sea caves and archways to explore by kayak, and divers may see loggerhead turtles and even the extremely rare Mediterranean monk seal.
DAY 7: ZAKYNTHOS TO KATAKOLO
The mainland town of Katakolo is the jumping off point to the magnificent ruins of Olympus, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Wander through the Temple of Hera and the vast stadium, and check out the on-site museum. Back in Katakolo, be sure to visit the marvellous Museum of Ancient Greek Technology, where you’ll see Plato’s ingenious alarm clock and the first military catapult. Enjoy your last evening on the yacht, dining on deck and chatting about all the wonderful things you’ve seen on your Greek Islands yacht charter.
