CROATIA & MONTENEGRO YACHT CHARTERS
Croatia has become one of the superyacht playgrounds of the world, with charter guests drawn by the beguiling mix of medieval cities, pine forested islands, and the glamorous nightlife of Hvar.
DAY 1: DUBROVNIK
Begin your Croatia yacht charter in Dubrovnik, a magnificent fortress city known as the ‘Jewel of the Adriatic’. Stroll the 80 foot city ramparts and the winding medieval streets, and stop for refreshment in shady garden courtyards of date palms and orange trees. When sunset comes, adjourn to one of Dubrovnik’s famous ‘hole in the wall’ bars with terraces hanging above the sea, then fine dine on the city walls at Restaurant 360°.
DAY 2: DUBROVNIK TO MLJET
Your Adriatic charter yacht will move to Mljet, a tranquil, densely forested island known for its twin lakes and Benedictine monastery. Swim in the crystal clear lakes, cycle through the pine forest, dive the antique shipwreck offshore, and visit Odysseus’ Cave. Guests can explore the ruined Roman palace at Polace or stroll the picturesque harbour of Pomena village, before returning to the yacht for a candlelit meal on deck.
DAY 3: MLJET TO KORČULA
The island of Korčula enchants with its ‘mini-Dubrovnik’ capital, rolling vineyards, and desperately pretty beaches backed by mountains. Explore the Venetian architecture of Korčula Town, take a winery tour through world-class vineyards, or eat lunch on the dazzlingly beautiful Pupnatska Beach. Offshore, a tiny archipelago beckons with its pine edged coves for an afternoon of watersports, before finishing the day at the stylish Maksimilijan Garden Lounge & Beach Bar.
DAY 4: KORČULA TO HVAR
Day four of your Adriatic charter brings you to Hvar, a jet-set island of romantic piazzas, rolling lavender fields, and glamorous nightlife. Begin by exploring the treasures and boutiques of Hvar town, before cruising out to the Pakleni Islands for a long lunch at the famous Carpe Diem Beach Club. Sunset cocktails might be at the iconic Hula Hula Bar, before an evening on the sophisticated terrace of Adriana Hotel, high above Hvar’s superyacht marina.
DAY 5: HVAR to VIS
Vis is best known for its ethereal Blue Cave, which is a must-see on a Croatia yacht charter. The island also offers one of Europe’s most spectacular beaches at Stiniva, the dive wreck of a B-17 Flying Fortress Bomber plane, and some excellent wine-tasting. The seafood on Vis is spectacular, and dinner at the iconic lobster taverna, Konoba Jastožera, is highly recommended.
DAY 6: VIS TO BRAČ
The island of Brač is world famous for Bol Beach, where a thin spit of sugar white beach extends far out into the turquoise sea. The stonemasonry village of Pučišća is considered one of the most beautiful towns of Europe, while divers might like to explore the underwater caves at Lučice Island, or float through an abandoned submarine pen in the yacht’s tender or kayak.
DAY 7: BRAČ TO SPLIT
Your charter will finish in the magnificent city of Split, where palm trees line the seafront promenade The Riva, and the Emperor Diocletian’s Roman palace dominates the old town. Be amazed by the grandeur of Diocletian’s Palace, from the vaulted basement to the Temple of Jupiter, then take in a performance at Peristyle Square. You might like to take the short cruise to Trogir, a splendid fortified town, before returning to Split for an early evening promenade along The Riva, looking out towards the Dalmatian islands you just cruised through on your Croatia yacht charter.
